VAWD Accreditation
 Sage Products, Inc. has received NABP’s Verified Accredited Wholesale Distributors (VAWD) accreditation. The VAWD program is designed to protect the public from counterfeit drugs entering the U.S. drug supply. Launched in February 2005, the program accredits wholesale distributors and assures stakeholders that the company is legitimate, qualified for state licensure, and employing security and best practices for safely distributing prescription drugs from manufacturer to pharmacy practitioner or health care facility. Wholesale distributors’ eligibility is judged in seven key areas: licensure; facility; personnel; record keeping; authentication and verification; returned, damaged and outdated drugs; policies and procedures. Applicants for VAWD undergo a compliance review licensure verification, an inspection, background checks, and screening through NABP's clearinghouse. Click the logo for more details. |
